Dell has announced the summer 2017 launch date of the Dell Edge Gateway 3000 Series. The series is designed to gather IoT data from digital signage, vehicles, refrigerated units and other tools, according to a press release.

The series comes in three models: Model 3001 for industrial management; Model 3002 for transportation and logistics; and Model 3003 for digital signage and retail. The series in general is designed for offering analytics in compact or mobile environments. Model 3003 is specifically designed with an output for video displays and a 3.5-mm line in/out for audio.

The models can be powered over Ethernet and can run in temperatures ranging from -30 degrees Celsius to 70 degrees Celsius. Other features include:

Integrated 3G and 4G;
12-57 VDC power input range;
Ignition pin;
2 GB RAM and 8 GB eMMC storage;
Intel Axiom processor; and
Ethernet, USB, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
